Tired of all of those surveys made up by high school kids?! 'Have you ever kissed someone? Missed someone? Told someone you loved them? Drank alcohol?' 38 questions for the people who are a little older...
1. What bill do you hate paying the most? As if there is one I enjoy paying? Oh, very well. Credit card bills. They remind me of previous idiotic mistakes.
2. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner? Oh that's easy. We only ever go to Sakura. We went on Thursday night! It was wonderfully delicious.
3. What do you really want to be doing right now? Well, not much. I guess if I didn't want to be doing this survey, I wouldn't be doing it. I wish I was hanging out with Kevvy though.
4. How many colleges did you attend? Three. A community college, then transferred to BAC, then moved to Anderson (Anderson University), then got homesick for BAC and went back!!!
5. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now? Umm, I am not wearing a shirt. I am wearing a robe. I recently got out of the shower.
6. What are your thoughts on gas prices? They are about $0.30 lower in Greenville!!! No fair!
7. First thought when the alarm went off this morning? Whuuu? What? You expected something coherent?
8. Last thought before going to sleep last night? I GET TO SLEEP IN TOMORROW!!!
9. Do you miss being a child? No! I like being an adult very much!
10. What errand/chore do you despise? ALL OF THEM! I really don't like cleaning the bathroom, though.
11. Would you rather get up early or sleep in? I would rather be able to get up early. I feel like I have more time in my day. This involves going to sleep early. FAIL.
12. Have you found real love yet? I'd say so
13. Favorite lunch meat? Turkey. The turkey with the crushed pepper on the edges, you know? Nom nom nom
14. What do you get every time you go into Wal-Mart? Food, usually. That is where I do my grocery shopping.
15. Beach or lake? Lake. I miss spending warm summer Saturdays on the lake.
16. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual? Not personally, but I don't think it's for everyone.
17. Sopranos or Desperate Housewives? Oh my god, neither, thank you.
18. With what famous person would you like to have dinner? Ummm, this is a hard one, I'm not real celebrity crazy or anything. Maybe the CEO of Zappos! He just sold his company to Amazon. Very smart dude.
19. Have you ever crashed your vehicle? Yes, I fell asleep and I woke up and it was flipped. I was seventeen. I haven't had any accidents since that age, actually. No, you know, backing into houses or anything....
20. Ever had to use a fire extinguisher for its intended purpose? Nope
21. Ring tone? Umm, some bizzaro thing on my cell phone. The least annoying one.
22. Strangest place you have ever brushed your teeth? I guess outside? I've had to brush my teeth outside when camping. But, you know, nothing too crazy.
23. Somewhere in California you've never been and would like to go? Well, I've driven past Lake Tahoe, but I'd really like to spend some time there. Absolutely beautiful.
23. Do you go to church? Not really.
24. At this point in your life would you rather start a new career or a new relationship? NEITHER! I am super super happy with both!
25. How old are you? 24
26. Do you have a go to person? Dr. Cote. When I'm having issues, I email her immediately!
27. Are you where you want to be in life? Mostly. I'd like to have a little more in savings and a little less in debt, but other than financially, I'm very happy.
28. Growing up, what were your favorite cartoons? Oh, I loved Scooby Doo!
29. What about you do you think has changed the most? My mental health, for sure. It's been a bit of a roller coaster, but I'm doing extremely well these days. I'm not having any more issues and I'm not on medication anymore.
30. Looking back at high school were they the best years of your life? NO. I mean, they were fun and all, but my friends in college are much better friends. My relationships are healthier. Everything is better.
31. Are there times you still feel like a kid? I can act like quite a brat sometimes.
32. Did you ever own troll dolls? I think Tiffasaurus and I had a couple
33. Did you ever have a pager? No! But Leo had one!!!
34. Where was the hang out spot when you were a teenager? Uhh, the mall I guess. My friends and I just hung out at each other's houses
35. Were you the type of kid you would want your children to hang out with? Well, in some ways yes and some ways know. I was a free thinker and also strove for academic success, but I was also interested in pushing certain. It would've been better if I had had guidance
36.Who do you think impacted your life the most? One of my early boyfriends had greater effects than he realized, for the better. He's also one of the few boyfriends I'm still friends with. Also, my current friends had and continue to have huge effects on my life. And Dr. Cote. Duh
37. Was there a teacher or authority figure that stood out for you? lol, Dr. Cote! In high school, Dr. Dillingham. All the other students weren't too keen on her (that's being rather kind, actually. They still talk about her quite rudely. Seriously, it was high school. Get over it.) but she pushed me to do better and to achieve.
38. Do you tell stories that start with “when I was your age..."? Kind of. When no one remembers the old nickelodian shows (Clarissa, Alex Mack, Pete & Pete) or cartoons (no one knew who Jem was, when I was Jem for halloween!! I mean... She's TRULY OUTRAGEOUS!) Oh, and when ten year olds have black berries. WTF?

Bridesmaid Dresses
Today I went shopping for a bridesmaid dress with my sister and another bridesmaid. We looked at a few other stores before going to David's Bridal; trying to find something cheaper that Tiff liked; but there weren't a lot of options. It's good, anyway, that we went to David's because the other bridesmaid lives in DC. She doesn't have to know what our dresses look like, she just need to find a dress in Watermelon (that's what color our dresses are).
Below are my dress (halter) and Anne Marie's dress (strapless). We'll be wearing silver shoes, I'm getting a silver (really, more gray) sash and I am the ONLY ONE allowed to wear any rhinestones (like a rhinestone clip in my hair, or rhinestone jewelry) because I'm the maid of honor. And I didn't get a special dress. But that is okay. I like my dress. (I'M NOT JUST SAYING THAT TIFFASAURUS, JUST BECAUSE YOU, THE BRIDE, READ MY BLOG. I REALLY DO LIKE IT. MUCH BETTER THAN THE DRESS WITH THE ROSES ON THE STRAP.)

Poker Face
Wait... how did a song with such retarded lyrics become so popular?
I'm bluffin' with my muffin
I'm not lying, I'm just stunnin' with my love-glue-gunnin'
Seriously? SERIOUSLY?
And what the hell kind of name is "Gaga"?
I am actually terrible at doodling
I bring my laptop to one of my classes and I have found it immensely useful. Not only do I have better notes for this class than I have ever had for a lecture class without PowerPoint handouts, but I save a ton of paper. There are anywhere from 2-5 handouts to print off from IQ Web and bring to class each day; a waste of paper if I can just save it to my laptop, which I do. However, with just one week to go, I was told that wasting paper would become required. After all, how can I possibly take proper notes on a computer???
"You are required to PRINT OFF the IQ web materials and bring them to class. Reading them online during class and elsewhere is NOT adequate. There are two reasons for this:
1) Most importantly, printing off and reading materials allows you to underline, highlight and make margin notes! In this way, you will have something to focus on when I call on you. You won't draw a blank.
2) You can make further notes on the pages of the text when I lecture! You cannot do that looking at it on the screen."
I let the professor know that there are no notes that I can make on a hard copy that I cannot make through the saved copy on my computer. You can highlight, make notes, etc. It's silly to waste paper when I can do this. I let him know that I would continue to conserve paper.
To which my professor replied:
"I am sure that your computer wizardry is astounding; nevertheless, there is merit in dealing with paper, books, pens/pencils and the like. For instance, you can view two items at the same time, copy drawings and charts, and so forth. You can also doodle when the lecture is slow. Such doodling is a great student tradition."
Ah, thank you. I am sorry for the confusion. I did not realize I was paying over $800 to doodle during class. I will, of course, acquiesce.
My new job!!
Finally, a full update on my job.
First of all, how I got the job is pretty cool. I called the RuffleJob on Monday to inquire where to e-mail my resume; I think in the ad that I had gotten in my e-mail, it didn't say where to send resumes. I ended up talking with the RuffleOwner for about 30 minutes. She had been interviewing a lot of people and she was concerned about finding the right person for the job, because they would be working very closely with her. She liked how I sounded and asked me to come in for an interview that afternoon! A resounding "Yes!" and I headed over to South Park that afternoon.
When I got to the interview, first, RuffleOwner showed me around the office, the stock room, etc. Then, I interviewed with her and the COO. It was my very first formal interview and I did a lot of "umms." I was really nervous!!! I tried to be as professional, honest, myself as I possibly could. RuffleOwner asked me a lot of questions that I should've expected and a lot of questions that I didn't see coming at all! I was there for about an hour talking with the two of them. I thought I did O.K. They said I would hear from them the next day! So soon, because they really were in need of someone to fill this position. I called Dadders to let him know how it went. I felt somewhat confident. Although, I got home and told my roommate that they were "totally going to hire me! ... because I'm Awesome!" but, really, I was a little nervous. Especially when RuffleOwner didn't call on Tuesday. Or Wednesday. I thought about calling them, but I didn't know how soon would be too soon. What are the rules for this stuff? Anyway, but that point I was freaking out and telling Boyfriend they hired someone else and why couldn't I get a job! I'd been applying for jobs all summer and no luck. ANYWHERE. Not even Wal-Mart. (Though, I really don't want to work at Wal-Mart. Ever.)
RuffleOwner me on Wednesday, late afternoon, though I didn't get it until Thursday morning at about 9am. She let me know that they'd had difficultly making the decision. She was disappointed that I hadn't called on that day or the day before, but she figured I was just being patient. After having some time to think about it, did I still really want the job? Can I give myself 110%? Definite "yes" from me and I emailed her back immediately. She called me back within about 15 minutes to offer me the position.
HOLY CRAP! I almost fell out of my chair. We discussed a few things, such as when I would work and things like that. My first day would be the following Monday.
Okay, well it's been a week since that happened. I can't believe it's only been a week! The week seems like it went by really fast and really slow all at the same time. Weird.
What I do: right know, I'm helping them catch up on orders. I'm learning how to get orders from the system and fill them. How to fill wholesale orders. Learning different computer programs. Learning where Fedex is located (just kidding. I had to drop off some packages after work. Fedex is about 2 miles away on my way home. Everything is pre-paid from the office, so I just drop it off). I'm learning more and more about the product and getting to know the details, like what fabrics we have, what is sold out and what's on back order.
So, that's what I did this past week. I have a lot more to learn, that was just order fulfillment. I also am going to be working with customer service and sales and some other things soon. I'm never bored; there is always something to do. Most of all, the RuffleBosses are really great and I enjoy working with both of them. I enjoy going to work every day. I'm looking forward to when I get to work full days! That will be relatively soon; as soon as classes are out, on the 21st.
I'm sure I'll have lots more to blog about what with all I'll be learning and the new stuff I get to do. Hopefully I won't be away too long! I have a tendency to forget to blog for weeks at a time. Forgive me. I'll try to blog a little at least once a week. It's not just for you. It's for me, too. I like going back in my archives and seeing what I was up to. It's interesting.
Thanks for reading!

Ruffle Butts
I'm a little tired and I haven't done my reading for class tomorrow, but I still wanted to update: I've recently got a really awesome job at a small business, more to come on that later. Suffice to say, it's an excellent opportunity. Also, I have to dress a little nice every day for work. Prettying myself up a bit in the morning helps me to wake up. I don't know why. Maybe it's because I have to color coordinate instead of tossing on jeans. But I like being a little dressy every day.
I have a midterm exam due on Friday (take home) a final and a paper on Tuesday. Then my summer classes will be over and I will pick up a few more hours at work.
My current schedule
Wake up at 8am, get ready for class and work
10-12: Theology class
12-1230: commute
1230-530: RUFFLE BUTTS (that's where I work, like I said, more later.)
530-6: commute
6-8: Ethics class (on TuTh)
8-11: Dinner, study, etc
11-8, SLEEP (Clearly, I didn't make my deadline tonight. It's already midnight. Okay. I'm going. Okay! Good night!)
P.S. I'll be back on Friday night or Saturday. I PROMISE!
