Waiting to be let in.

At the computer, simply typing away, she didn't really notice him walk into the library. She didn't even notice as he sat down next to her. She continued away in earnest, relaying her lifes happenings to her LiveJournal. However, she noticed that the fellow next to her had been sitting at the computer for sometime, yet was not logged onto the internet.

Probably doesn't know his pin. Who the hell does?

She turned to her neighbor to ask if he needed some help when she started paying attention to what was around her. IE She opened her freaking eyes and noticed who the fellow was! He smiled with an adorable I'm so lost...! grin. She smiled back. It was nice to see him out of work. Alone from all the people that made her feel uncomfortable around him.

"Having trouble?"

"Ahh, this crazy contraption," he rolled his eyes at the computer. "Foiling all my plans for world domination."

She giggled.

"Personally," she continued, "I suggest the game of Risk for good practice."

"Good to know," he said. There was then a small pause when the just looked at each other for a moment. She moved her eyes slowly away from him and focused them on the computer screen.

"What finds you here? Did your crazy home-bound contraption run off with your best friend?"

"No, it simply died on me. Tragedy really. I cried."

"I suggest Dan-Hugs," she smiled. Dan-Hugs refered to hugs given by her friend Dan. Best ever! she often said. If they could be bottled, no one would every be sad or sick...

"So," she continued after a small pause, pointing to the input fields on the screen," just type in your library card number here, and you pin here. Presto, fifty minutes of internet time."

He nodded thoughtfully, then glanced to the screen.

"And what say you to the sad soul who hasn't a library card?"

She looked at him and just smiled. She rose from her chair and moved until she stood very close to him. She typed in her card number and pin, one hand running over the number pad, and one hand resting in front of the keyboard on the desk. She could feel his eyes on her. They flirted like mad at work, and it was nice to be so close without everyone else. She felt his hand rest on her hand that wasn't punching in keys. Hitting the enter key, she moved slowly back to her seat, with not so much as a glance. She could practifally feel his upset.

With a small, slightly coy grin, she sat back down and returned to her Live Journal. She could still feel his gaze on her, wondering What next???

When she didn't look back, he turned back to his computer screen, mentally chastising himself. A minute later, when he was in the process of returning an e-mail, a box popped up on his screen. It was a message box, which he found odd, because he wasn't logged onto any messanger services. It was, in fact, Windows Messanger, and she had simply activated his via the network.

What exactly is it that you want, Pirate Boy?

It was not an unknown fact that he had quite the penchant for pirates.

He looked over at her. She was still smiling that slight coy smile. He turned to his computer and hit three keys, then clicked [Reply].

I don't think you do. You're just flirting with me for now, but you'll find someone older and better looking.

I don't think words will do us much good here.

He looked over at her. She was signing off. She stood up and walked off. He, flustered, hurriedly closed his e-mail and signed off. Under the watchful eye of the librarian, he walked as swiftly as possible down the corridor through which she had dissapeared.

When he looked around upon it's opening and saw now red tank tops or blue pocket book sporting beauties. He glanced at the double glass doors leading to the summer sun, he hesitated only a moment, then walked out.

There she was, leaning against his old Ford Colt. Smiling. Waiting to be let in.
